A VIP service like no other

Our staff provide personalised service every step of the way. In addition to the flight itself, our service includes 'meet and greet' facilities and baggage handling for both arriving and departing passengers, personal escorts to and from the aircraft, through the airport, thereby avoiding long check-in queues and stand-around time.

All logistical arrangements are carried out on the clients' behalf by a member of Bateleur while the client sits back and relaxes in one of the V.I.P lounges.

A member of staff will also accompany a flight, upon request, to make sure needs are met and that operations run even smoother than planned.

En-route to the chosen destination, clients can enjoy excellent catering that is specific to individual needs and requirements.

Proven safety record

All flights are monitored on a 24-hour basis by operations staff at OR Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) in Johannesburg.

All crew and staff are highly trained and professional, with all our flight crew meeting the defined criteria for qualification. They are also experienced and trained to high standards and undergo annual medical and rigorous flight tests in order to maintain their licences and proficiency.

A short history

The CEO of Bateleur Air Charter, Evan Baillie, is well-renowned within the aviation and travel industry with over 20 years of experience in specialised Air Charter services.

Evan was principally involved in Streamline Air Charter which commenced operations in 1990 with only one aircraft. The company quickly evolved, and five years later grew into a successful charter company with a formidable fleet of over thirty aircraft. Streamline was well known for its incredible service excellence and was sold to Imperial holdings in 1999.

After a three-year hotel venture, Evan was once again back with the main aim of re-introducing service excellence back into the aviation and travel industry in 2002.

Bateleur offers impeccable VIP service and, together with their professional team, are able to transport up to 500 passengers in one single movement, often consisting of multiple aircraft. A wide range of aircraft are available and Bateleur is able to offer cost effective charters and personal service excellence.
